Family Based Services

Greater Minnesota Family Based Services are provided by our dedicated professional counseling staff. Our staff consist of experienced Masters and Bachelors level counselors and therapists-mental health professionals and practitioners-who treat families with the care and respect they deserve during times of stress. We work to prevent out of home placements, to keep the child in the home with the family where they belong. 

 Our In-Home Family Services encompass a wide range of supports, including Diagnostic Assessments, Individual and Family Therapy, CTSS Skills Training, Parent Education, and reunification or prevention services 

Our Intensive In-Home Family Services support children with mental health challenges and their families through individual and family therapy, CTSS skills counseling, and crisis planning. We work closely with county social services and families to prevent out-of-home placements whenever possible and assist families during reunification. Therapists and counselors meet with families where they are—at home or in the community—two to three times a week, usually in the afternoons or evenings when it’s most convenient for families. 

CIBS is an intensive treatment program, combining In-Home Intensive Treatment with Brief Residential Treatment, designed to serve children ages 8 to 17 and their families in circumstances where community-based services have not been sufficient to meet the child’s safety needs and mental health. Currently available in Morrison county. 

Facilitated, confidential meeting between family, friends, and service providers to examine and prioritize the needs of a child's health, safety and wellbeing. This service is available in Blue Earth, Brown, Nicollet, Watonwan, and Sibley Counties. 

 Diagnostic Assessments for clients birth to age 18 across the GMFS service area. 

MH-TCM supports children, families, and adults with a mental health diagnosis connecting to resources and providers within their home community.
